Fuel Pump Cut Off Switch For Security
I'm still pursuing an off the beaten path source of security. I had originally planned to put in a pump cut off switch somewhere in the cabin. My gf's Murano has a cool system in which you don't need a key, you just need the little proximity key fob nearby to start the car (in your pocket, back pack, etc..). Does anyone know if there is a simple switch that also works like this. Something I can mount in the accesory port in clear view.

Just get a cheap battery kill switch from jegs with a removable key. No battery power = no car getting stolen

It can't easily be hot wired. It cuts the circuit to the battery, they would have to pop your hood trace back the wires disconnect it, re connect it, then get back in your car and hot wire the car itself. There is no way any car thief is that stupid or going to take the time when they could just grab the honda parked beside you.

a car thief isn't going to take the time to to work on the mustang if he hot wired it and got nothing he would go to the next car. It isn't like he is going to keep it he would just run to a chop shop and grab what cash he could for it. A battery kill switch is the easiest and best way to keep your car from getting stolen since it is only like 15 bucks for the switch and you can install it in 30 mins.

i seen a kit in a hot rod mag once... the system was kinda like a six pin trailer setup
cant really describe it but you hook this up inline your hot going to three things like fuel, ignition, starter. then your key crosses the terminals and allows to be started
