Alpine would work just fine. Most 3 channell amps I have seen don't do squat for sub power at 4 ohms, so it may be a moot point. And to clear a common misconception up- it is usually too little power that blows speakers up, not too much. To give you an example- I have a JL Audio 450/4 on my front and rear speakers (rears turned WWWWWWWWWWAAAAAYYYYYYY down). That amp is rated at 150x2 front and 75x2 rear. But my front speakers are rated at 75 watts RMS. Had this setup for almost 3 years, and have not had a problem.
I'll admit, I have a few advantages. Am I a pro? Yes, been installing for 20 years now. Do I know when my amp is clipping and distorting the speakers? Again, yes. Do I know how to properly set the system up? I would hope so. My best advice would be to go talk to someone at a good, reliable shop and get their opinion. To quote Tim Allen- "More Power! ARRH ARRH ARRH!"

so far most are telling me to with mono amp 250-300 for subs for my 2 125 w subs at 4 oms and just ad 4 or 2 ch amp for front and or rear speakers but some are saying just get KICKER ZX700.5 CAR STEREO 700 WATT 5CH AMPLIFIER AMP 4 ohms: 70 watts x 4 chan. + 210 watts x 1 Class D Sub channel
and turn down the gain on kicker 5 ch for my fronts 35w rms and rears stock 5-15w, but the kicker5ch only has 210w rms, isn't that too low? |

Kicker is kinda like Ford on HP ratings- they lie (in a good way). For example, most of the zx400.1's I see come in at around 480 watts (from a 400 watt rating). The 700.5 is a strong amp, as long as you have a 4 guage power and ground wire for it. It is also a little bigger than the amp you have now, so make sure it will fit where you want it before buying.
