Alumapro Subs, Sony Xplod Amp, Having Problems
Alright well, i bought the
Sony Xplod GTR2002 (1200 watt max power) Rockford Fosgate wiring kit link is: problem is, my subwoofer is made by Alumapro, but I dont know the watts, ohms, any information about it. My uncle left them for me when he passed away about a year ago. They were already enclosed, I measured them at 10". Thats about all I know (dont know the model or anything either, its not on the box, and Id rather not tear the enclosure apart). Anyways, me and my pa got it hooked up, and its not working. The amp isnt lighting up and the subs are beatin. Im not really sure what it wrong, I have a 99 v6 mustang. Any answers? - Actually, I think the subs are this model CarAudioField Link Think this with my amp will get a nice beat? Still need to fix it though because Im not getting any sound or illumination :/ |

Yea.. so I had it working (forgot to hook the remote output to stereo). We connected it, tested it, everything worked. Put it back into the dash and now it isnt working. I have a Pioneer deh-1500 head unit stereo. Im wondering if I blew a fuse because I dont know any of the settings for the amp or stereo and shit.. please help

Make sure you've connected up properly the rcas to the back of the stereo and then onto the amplifier. make sure your ground for the amp is grounded within 3 feet of the amplifier or less. if the remote wire is kicking on the amplifier then your good there. That subwoofer you have is good for 250rms so hook up one channel of the amp to the one voice coil on the subwoofer. you could bridge the amp and probably be ok but thats not that great of a subwoofer so its up to you. if you can figure all that out and still have trouble explain in detail what exactly the problem is your having.

Thanks, I got it working. Took it over to circuit city, the guy said i had a blown fuse under the hood. He replaced it for free and told me to make sure all my wires are taped off.
