Quick Question (Stock Amps)
so i have an 02 v6, and i replaced the headunit with an after market. well i blew a fuse, but thats not wut im here to ask about. when i replaced the fuse i saw the there was no fuse in the position for the stock amps. so my question is, how do i tell if i even have the stock amps? i figured if there wasnt a fuse there my model just didnt come with them. i got the car used so i dont no wut options it came with other than the obvious. (power windows ect ect...)

The amps should be embetween the rear speakers...
The stock base model stereo does not ahve amps I believe...I think that amps are only for the Mach(used ot be Mach 460) and Mach 1000 (2 subs) stereo set-ups... |

Yep...
Well you can add amps with an aftermarket head unit pretty easily... You could make your stereo sound great...It just takes some work... |

yea i no had 2 12's and a 1800 watt amp but i sold my box cuz it didnt fit in the trunk of my mustang (i was driving a grand prix at first) and ended up sellin the amp to cuz i wanted something better. anyway when i checked for the stock amps i didnt even look cuz i was at a red light so i just felt for em real quick, any u think if i got an amp with the same measurements of the stock amps i could mount it there?

There is no reason you couldnt mount it up there...But I dont know if your stock speakers would handle much of a boost...

i dont plan on wiring the amp to the stock speakers, i was gonna put my 12's back in and that just seems like the best place to put the amp to keep it outta the way.
