are you talking about an in-dash that is a single din size and the screen pops out?

if so, it should fit. i don't think you'll have any clearance issues... as long as you get the right stuff to put it in.

yea, thats exactly what im talking about. I was just worried that when the screen slides out, then raises up, the back of the screen would come in contact with the a/c vents due to the recessed radio setup.

you can always go to crutchfield.com and put your car setup in there... then search for the dash system you want... then buy it elsewhere lol because crutchfields expensive!

Try to stay away from the cheap ones because the gears that flip the screen out have a tenancy to strip. You can get the none flip out models for about the same price now.

well, i ordered a switch bezel from speed of sound so i am limited to one din. I found a couple decent ones from Jensen. Im trying to stay away from offbrand ones or super cheap ones. The jensen is around 400 shipped, but i think it be good enough. But good point on the strippage of the gears. thanks for thhe heads up.

not sure if you can spend that much but this one is really good for the price, ive had a few friends with the jensens and havent had the greatest luck.. if you cant im sure you could find the jensen on online car stereo.com for cheaper...

i have the jensen touchscreen and it flips out and sits perfect below the air vents, it just covers up the a/c knobs, but to stop the thing from wearing out, i turned the setting off that makes it close when you turn the car off, it just stays flipped out until i want it in. good choice though i think

with the dash kit make sure you get one with the pocket on the top b/c if the screen sits on the top it will not open all the way. I use to have the pioneer avic-n1 and avic-n2 years ago in my 03 and the only problem i had was it is a bitch to get to the climate control nobs. So i went to a double din. pionner avic-d3 and works out great for me.
