Looks good so far bro

Everything looks like its coming together pretty good. Have a few questions and one concern for ya. Dont take these questions as "bashing" just cronstructive criticism. Why did you choose to use the PheonixGold woofers instead of the Fosgates? The RF components are sonically matched.Dont get me wrong,Pheonix Gold is damn good though. They should sound good with the RF's though.
You're using the rear deck speakers as "free-air" subwoofers correct? Why in the world would you only use only a Soundstream 80 watt amp when those subs can take like 100 + watts a piece? Dont get me wrong i understand using what i got sittin around too but damn the specs on those subs are great push 'em dude! What is the model of the ones you have btw?
My only concern though of the whole set up is how close the subs terminals are to the metal on the back deck. You might wanna cut a notch outta the back deck where the terminals for the subs are especially since those are push lock terminals. A few bumps on the road could end up with a burnt amp or worse a fire.
All in all nice setup though.

well the RF`s are temp till I find where my PG XS tweeters went(I have tons and tons of audio). The amp is a temp amp also and will be move to the front stage and a huge PG amp to the subs in the back.I will be giving them 400WRMS each not the 60WRMS you see them ran off off. They hold 400W easy.the model on them is elemental designs EU-700`s dual 2 ohm http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=33
yes used free air(the bottom end on the EU700 grows huge in free air over box mounting)

and I hear ya on the terminals but I added steel and 18 layers of fiberglass on the rear deck so you can stand on it and jump(with the window out) and it is like jumping on a concrete pad there is no give at all so the terminals would never hit the rear deck(oh and they are mounted to 10ply plywood also). Thanks for your thoughts I like to here them

Good shit man

Well PG is bettere for mids and highs than RF, i agree with you there. As for those terminalson those subs........be carefull pushing the wires through the terminals so no stray ends touch the metal. I never doubted that the fibrglass was imobile just those damn push terminals always end up pushing a stray copper hair outta place! Bananna plugs would prolly be ur best bet.
To bad ur not in FL, i'd really like to hear the final product! Im running right at 1800 watts in my Monte Carlo (all RF but the head unit). 4 10's,8 mids and highs, just nasty but wont win any SQ contests. SPL i could be a competitor though.
Nice install though bro, keep up the good work!

Head unit help

With all this work done you have to know how to take the stereo out of a 2004 mustang coupe. I mean from the very beginning. I can't even get the plastic surrounding the automatic shifter to unbolt. Is it some strange kind of allen key I need?. Please help, I'm trying to upgrade to my pioneer DEH P9600MP and Infinity Kappa 6x9's and 3 1/4.
