VALENTINE ONE!!!

a few dollars more but pays for itself many times over. it's an amazing unit i dont know how many tickets id have on my name had it not been for it. even tells you which direction radar / laser is coming from and has a cigarette lighter mount to keep the big unit off the dash.

i just picked up a cobra ESD 737, and its awesome, tells you if the cop has the invisible radars, and if there is an emergency up ahead! best of all it only cost $40 at wal-mart!

If you have a truck stop (LOVES, TA, Flying J) look there all the best working are to be had and you can study all the features and get great prices.
The previous owner of my GT had a internal unit (found the processor module under the center console. I would like to find one like that. To bad they cut the display and sensors (front and rear looking) out. I have a old model called the FOX that I bought a few years back that was a built with remote heads in but it is not new and does not pick every thing up.

I just had a Escort Passport SR7 installed. It comes with a front radar unit, and front/rear lazer. Works really good. Also loud enough to hear with the top down and stereo on. Retails for about $1100, but can be found on eBay for about $500. Took about 2 hours to install.

It's a remote unit. Has a "brain" under the dash which connects to a display unit you can hide anywhere in your car. The unit that picks up the radar and lazer mounts inside your engine compartment, grill, or under your front bumper, and it has a rear lazer unit that mounts above your license plate.

Nope, you can put the display anywhere you want. It also comes with a multi-color LED so you can hide the display all together and just use the LED if wanted.

I mean it comes with an LED that you can use in place of the display.

Itt means its a radar detector that would only have 1 to 3 little lights somewhere on ur dash (wherever you want really) That would blink when a cops speed detection devices are on and aimed in your direction. Hope that helped you understand WTF has been goin on in the above thread.
