i read in the manual that our cars have an alarm that is a motion sensor for inside the car and when the doors are locked and closed, if any motion is detected, it will go off, and i tried doing shit to make it go off(staying in the car, reaching through the window and opening the door etc) to make it go off, but it never has. am i wrong about the whole alarm thing, or is it turned off/ broken some how?

this has nothing really to do w/ why ur sensor wont go off, im feeling like a thread whore lol...

i dont trust factory alarms ...thats why i bought a prestige alarm/starter combo...unlike the factory system it has pressure sensors, and a shock meter...plus is alerts me to when some1 breaks into my car if im w/in a mile and a half, and it lets me turn if off via remote...

You are talking about the factory anti theft system. I was told by the dealer that this was an option. They checked the VIN to see if my car had it. From what I can tell from the owners manual there is a way to turn the system off. Maybe yours has been deactivated at some point.

everyone where i live knows my car, and the other night, one of my mom's friends saw some weird sketchy people looking in my car when i was parked downtown and she told my mom about it, so now i really want to get a good alarm system. im talking fucking batman good-shock someone if they touch my car-. but seriously, can yall post a link as to where i can get a system? thanks

You can get Vipers armed to the teeth with accessories. Maybe not 1.5 mile 2-way range, but shock, pressure, break, look, any sensors you can think of they sell. Even battery kits for jackers that try to kill the system before it starts, and the most important part of a security system in my opinion- gps tracking. And they got cool flashing electroluminescent badges with the Viper logo that you can stick on a window as a deterrent. The remotes are pretty cool too.

I have a python 990. And if you can break into my car with taht system then holy shit your the man. And my transmitter works from close to a mile away

Yeah Python, Viper, and Clifford are all Directed Electronics I think. They're pretty much the top when it comes to security. Oh, and "SST" technology in some of Directed's systems let you use it from up to a mile away. But that Audiovox Prestige stuff is a lot cheaper, so there's a trade-off

that stuff sounds amazing, but i doubt we are talking 200$ with that

You can get some pretty cheap, the 1002 system is like $200-300 installed from some places, and it's one of the newer ones they've got.

It is easy to install? Using the CANBus? I m looking for informations about Viper alarms ( I want to install it by myself ).
