Kickers from Circuit City?
Looking at the following deal:
http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...undleDetail.do I don't play alot of rap, more like 75% country, 20% rock, and 5% whatever. This seems to be an ideal package for me, because it's got a small amount of punch from a reliable name brand. I'm mostly worried about the 2 10" subs and the amp matching up properly. What do ya'll think? Good bang for the buck?

Thats actually a pretty crappy combo. please dont buy that. what a load of crap. best case scenario with that you get 175 rms total wattage too both subs.
Box/subs/amp for $360 = 175 Rms from Circuit City Dual Kicker CVR 10's Subs Hifonics Brutus BX605 Amplifier Box Those subwoofers handle 300rms each and 600rms together. The Hifonics Amplifier puts out 600rms at 1ohm which those subs can be wired for. That would be a perfectly matched setup for $277.96 total. Save nearly $100 and have more then tripple the RMS wattage that circuit city setup puts out.

if you don't listen to rap i wouldn't buy anything over 8" subs. unless you like your country music to have that much bass in it. still though i think you would be pretty happy with just a couple 8's. i would spend the money to get better door and rear speaker upgrades.
of course i like to have the whole package so i would have the bass, mid-bass, mid's and hi's. |

Tuned ur nuts! Those Kickers sound damn good unless ur trying to prduce over 100db's. My buddy has the same set in his Jeep(soft top too) off a 600 watt Kenwood (yeah i know it's only like 350 rms dude) and it'll flap the shit outta the side veiw mirrors! I didnt see an amp in that link though.
I do agree with buying most thiings seperate myself but for some reason Kickers sound best (unless ur a box building whiz, which i am by the way!) in their natural habitat (factory boxes). As for HiFonics,im not a fan by any means unless its just for midrange applications.Using those amps for subs have been way too touchy to be called "reliable" for me That is just my opinoin though
