Aftermarket car alarm

Hello,
I live in France, and I own a 2007 Mustang GT.
I need a car alarm but in europe, I can't find a compatible one. I mean, I d like a system design for my US car. I read that there are car alarm compatible with the CANBus.
Does it mean that it is easier to install ?
What is the best choice ? I don't know all technical terms in english but I need a failsafe starter kill ( that prevent engine starting ), a anti jacking module ( that protect wheels and the 'taking' of the car ). I don't need remote start system.
Are Viper the best ones ?
Thank you a lot

there is no English translation for that word.
maybe some of our Canadian members could help you out with that.

All the the viper systems are great to be honest. try linking us to a specific one or giving us a price range to work with so we can give you some ideas.

if you are just wanting to do the alarm then you dont need any special adapters. If you want to do remote start then you will be looking for either a 556U or the Xk04 bypass module that lets you interface so that the car will remote start. with the 05-up there is a little bit of work involved in doing it. If you are going to be attempting it yourself I can shoot you all the wires that you will be needing and where they are located at. At my job we have all the wiring diagrams for just about every car out there. Just let me know if you need help as I can walk you through it.

TY, wraitherlx, I m ok for wiring diagram. I only have the repair manual for Mustang.
I don't need the remote start. Only to detect the intrusion, and if some one attept to take the car or whells.
DOes the remote provide by Viper replace my original remote for the mustang ?
The range of price should be 200 USD maximum.

What is the anti-grind ?

TY

antigrind is for remote start systems only, it prevents you from cranking the car when it is already remote started. Yes the system will replace your remote. You will not use your factory key fob unless you take out the viper.

The Viper 5002 have 'Stinger DoubleGuard shock alarm sensors'
Does it detect the raising of the car ?
Is it difficult to install for a 'rookie' like me ?
Is it CanBus compatible ?
Thank you

if you mean somebody jacking up your car then yes, i will say that it will be a little difficult but not impossible. why do you need to know if it is canbus compatible?

Hi,
Because I want to install it by myself. So I d like it not so difficult to install.

So if I choose the Viper 5002, it will detects intrusion, glass braking, and car jacking up. I ll not use the Ford remote anymore for open the doors, only the Viper one.

Am I right ?

Thank you a lot

The module I need is the module 507M, the tilt sensor.
So I ll probably order the Viper 5002 and 507M.
Does anyone can give me informations about the wiring, installation?
I hope I ll have all instructions with the car alarm.
