Anyone Have Sequential Turn Signals?
Well.. if you do how hard were they to install? I've heard some manufacturers are a snatch to wire up but others are painstaking. I'd really like to get some for my 96, I've seen them on eBay for pretty cheap but any recommendations on which brand to trust. I've also heard of "chaser" tail lights but don't know if there's a difference between the two; does anyone know?
Many thanks

No one??!
Hmmm? Well does someone know someone who has a friend of a friend who knows someone with sequentials? If so where'd he get'em from? I need a reliable vendor w/good rep. I've got to make my car a little more unique before March 'cause we've got a car show, first of the year, and last year I lost to my buddy who's got a '68 Camaro RallySport and this time around I need a little extra bonus points from the judges to beat him :wink

00 GT has them, I got the little pricey ones from http://www.mustangproject.com/Catalo...1-f16897c99f5a
Cost about 200, complete kit, you don't have to damage a single wire, it just replaces whats there no harnesses or nothing. You can convert back to stock with just swapping everything back out. Took maybe 25 to 30 minutes, easy work. Plug and Play basically. I get tons of comments, I thought it would look tacky but... It just looks badass. Come on. How many cars do you see with sequential tail lights... let alone how many stangs? Exactly.

Agreed... but they do look really kickass. Especially on a stang. Depends on if your looking to show boat or aim for performance

I bought some $80 ones off ebay. They took like 30minutes to install and they work awesome, but they do sequence a little fast. The differnece between a sequence and a chase is that in the chase, they all light up in sequence and stay lit, then they fade in the same fassion. Sequentials just light up one bulb, turn it off and light the next. The ones off ebay were from webelectric, his come in a tube, its nice cuz you can silicone it right into your tailights without worrying about corrosion or anything cuz its all sealed up.

Built mine for under $20 (YES, TWENTY. That's Two-Zero).
They made me fail inspection. But, a simple jumper makes them pass dumasses. I pulled over about 25 feet from the inspection station to make the sequence again, after I went back and passed.

Andy - - man I bet a bunch of us would love to see a nice how-to write up on making your own sequenced turn signals... it'd have to be lamen's-terms though for us incapable of understanding anything else
oh and I don't care about passing inspections 'cause up here they don't check your lights, just your emissions at idle and at 3Krpms that's it. Thanks

Big thanks to Matt from stangmods (an MM newbie vendor fyi) for hooking me up with a great deal on my sequentials... I'm awaiting their arrival any day now and will post a vid of what they look like - if I ever get a digital video recorder, lol.

I have them and they take 20 minutes to install per side. More time was spent pulling out trunk liner and lights. They cost me $50. check out link to see lights in action. I love mine. It is a little something for those who only get to see the back of your car-LOL
