Hooked up harness to computer and bad things are happening
I have a 89 LX I pulled my harness from my computer out the other day and hooked up a harness from a 90 to find out that its is not compatible with the 89. So tonight I pulled it back out and reinstalled mine and now when I start the car I have no dash lights, my factory tach and other guages are not working, when my low beam lighs are on my high beam indicator is lit up and when I put my high beams on the indicator goes out. With the car turned off if you turn on the headlights the fuel pump turns on. The only thing I did differn't was there's a orange ground wire that was originally grounded to a bell housing bolt I cut that when I originally pulled the harness out the other day.I relugged it and grounded it to the firewall when I put the harness back in tonight. Something I did not do was disconnect the battery when I reinstalled the harness and hooked it up to tyhe computer tonight. I hope I didn't fry my computer. Can anyone help me please?

Why did you change harnesses? Something wrong with yours? The 90 and up harnesses are completely different...it best to find one from another 89 or just put yours back in. I ran into the same problem when converted my 88 to mass air. I had to go back to my stock harnesses and just run the 4 wire pigtail for the maf meter to the new computer. Goodluck.
