PBOC @ Homestead Speedway 4-24/25
Me and sirl drove down to Homestead to hang out with fellow PBMC members running the road coarse. I snapped some pics of some of the rides.

One of my early life dreams is to have some seat time in one of these events, but the cost are to expensive for your average collage student lol
That’s why I stick to autocross For me $45 is more accessible then $299 Which brings me to a question i've been pondering about, is there any volunteer work that might result in some form of free seat time? Last edited by 01KnightRiderGT; April 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM. |

Me too. It's always been my dream to run on a race coarse. It started when I was younger and my buddy introduced me to a game called Grand Tourismo. I loved it and played it all the time. As I got older I really wanted to try it but didn't know how to get into it and thought it was really expensive to do. By luck I joined a local Mustang club out of boredom and it just so happened that most of the core members where into road racing heavily and it's been all downhill from there. My problem is I got spoiled from the beginning. My first event was on the road coarse. Did 5 event's in a year and at one point I was so hungry for track time that I signed up to do an auto X at Moroso'a kart track with ERSCC cause it was cheap and why not try it. Hated it. Didn't like being on such a small track compared to the big one's I'm used to. Probably never do it again. It is more expensive then drag racing or X but that's what your used to. If you ever decide to drive on a real track that'll be the end of you. You wont look back. If you add up the #s, it's really a deal for the money. Way more track time then anything else and a whole different animal. I fully understand about the money issue believe me. This year I had to really tone it down myself. Usually I do around 5 events a year. So far this year, 0. I'm currently unemployed so I had to choose just one event, Sebring at the end of this month. Once run by SVTOA, it's now under Track Guys. Even though I've done nothing this year, this event will make up for it all. It's gonna be big. Most of our members will be there. Where talking around 25 guys in our group alone. All friends that I've meet over the years and this is one of those events that bring them all in.
As for work for seat time, if there was such an offer I'd be all over it. That's why it's more expensive. Your payment pays for the track rental and corner workers and emergency personal on site. The best thing to do is show up with your helmet to one of these events and get a ride along with one of the instructors for FREE. Most clubs allow this but they all have their differences. HOD=Hooked On Driving is not as strict as the others. They actually allow Solo drivers like myself to take a passenger. I tell anyone who is interested in running their car on a road coarse to become a member of my club's site because if you own a Mustang and want to road race, then this is the site to be on. Most of our members own stangs and some race other models but it doesn't matter. If your interested let me know and I'll get you in. Victor

Yea thats what I'm talking about. I'll post up that your trying to get in and have one of the mods get you in. Something to do with spam and it automatically bans new user's.
