Yes and no the three link is a very affordable and well enough performing geometry set up, but a torque arm + watts link is truely king. So much so that a torque arm will induce large amounts of understeer due to the added traction at the rear from correct pinion gear engagement in the rear diff and the ability for the other suspension to do its job perfectly. The watts link forces the torque arm to move vertically and rotationally only and the rotation and vertical motion of the torque arm acts like a spring. In terms of rear live axle set ups it is king, but the 3 link with watts link is a close second.

Why second? Less weight, less rear antiroll bar needed for understeer correction, price, work necessary to get it working, etc. The three link set ups I have seen for the sn95 were prone to problems of ripping torque boxes and the mounting points for the uca because the chassis was not designed for those forces being diverted that way. This is why the torque arm + panhard bar or watts link is so prevelant in sn95s and not the steeda 5 link or the three link conversions.
