Has anyone ran this?
Steeda Lightweight K-Member for 1996 thru 2004 Ford Mustang 555-5078

Looks expensive but it will still use factory control arms and springs. I kinda like that Idea. Anyone got one or know of one?

The weak link in the factory set up is the K-member. The factory control arms actually are very good. A tubular A-Arm with a spring perch that is as strong as the factory is not a huge advantage over stock pieces. Most tubular control arms are for coil overs. We built this to be used with the factory arms and factory style springs. Though it will accept stock replacement tubular control arms. This also allows this K-member to be used in race classes that require stock type front suspension.

Our K-member also features 2 lower control arm mounting positions for fine tuning of roll center geometry. One position for cars at stock ride height or less than 1" lower than stock. The second position is recommended for cars 1" to 1 1/2" lower than stock.

The steering rack can also be positioned in the stock location but, we made it adjustable for changes to the Ackerman geometry. Ackerman is the term used to describe steering geometry that causes the inside front wheel to turn "tighter" than the outside front wheel.

Not trying to sound like a infomercial, but that is the gist of our K-member. It is much different than anything else out there. LEt me know if I can be of anymore help. Thanks

Side question, is there a way to get the q400 hood for an 04 GT with the louvers open? Is there anything to close them back up once you are done at the track?

Can you use the stock control arms in either mounting position? How is the steering rack adjustable?
