And all they wanna do is drag race and street race! What a waste of a great handling car! You people have no idea of the potential a Mustang has!

Yeah, maybe after $2k worth of suspension they're a great handling car.

there are 2 fun turns i take on my way to school: one i can take at 50 as long as i can get out wide enough and apex right, and as longs as its a green light. and the second is going in the school parking lot. i got in trouble with the latter, so now its down to 1
only time ive done autox was with my dad's cobra at VIR

Put bigger brakes on it, and make some ducts to keep them cool, and start tuning the suspension, and you'll out handle any V-8 car here. How about a MM Road Race crew? |

I think we might be able to squeeze out enough members if it was just a handling/corners/conehead crew. You're the only one I know of that actually road races; I just have aspirations and empty pockets.

oh yeah. Canyon roads are my favorite outside of a track. My current car won't be streetworthy much longer though.

i love carving corners with my buddy in his is300. what suspension upgrades would you recommend so I can (somewhat) keep up with him? (i am on a poor college student, so i can't get anything too extreme)

Once your brakes are dialed in, chassis and suspension are next. Stiffer springs, lower stance, stiffer sway bars and adjustable shocks/struts are all good parts to add, but make repairs first. Tie rods (TRE), ball joints, wheel bearings, and steering rack are things that get punished the most when taking corners. Polyurethane bushings and greasable ball joints and TRE's make it more durable. And I assume you already know about subframe connectors... |
