1999 swap to a 2004

Hello,
Does anyone know the answer to this question... I have a 1999 Mustang GT. I started to get a knock in my engine which got progressively worse. Someone showed me to take a long rod (crow bar in my case) and touch it to the engine to listen for knocking. I found out that my cylinder closest to the passenger side firewall is knocking. I have looked around and there is a 2004 GT engine for sale. Is it difficult or even possible to put a 2004 GT engine in a 1999 GT? Thanks for looking.
