BAER Brakes Installed!

GT-Plus 14" Kit on the fronts and Eradispeed 14" rear kit, stops on a dime and a huge improvement over stock!!! Minor mishap with it fitting in my stock 18" bullits, but a little grinding and 1 inch wheel spacers later, cured it! Couldn't be happier!

nice! how's the performance? this is one of the items in my hopefully-to-do list although i was going for brembo. does it require any additional corrections behind the wheel other than the spacers?

the performance is great, even though this GT Plus is a 2 piston caliper, much like the stock 2 piston, but 3x better, I didnt have the extra $1000 for the extreme plus which has 6 pistons (like the brembo kit) but still get the same stopping power as the 6 piston with the 2 piston.

all the brake kits, some may require wheel spacers for to fit any aftermarket or stock 18" bullits or whatever size wheels are required to clear all the way around, you have to check the template guide on each website and print it out to see if it fits.

he said the install was a breeze, minus the 15 min to grind the caliper cause of the desing of it and how it rubbed my wheel

i actually came across a similar baer kit for my v6 but i wasnt sure if the 2-piston setupwas any better than the stock. Sounds like it is . those are cross-drilled rotors right? You think they make a difference? I might just upgrade my rotors and pads then..

yes they are cross drilled and they DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! changing the pads and the rotors are going to make a def difference, but i changed the brake lines and the calipers as well and thats a huge difference!

Wow. That's a great price, even considering the exchange rate. They wanted eight hundred bucks for that Superchips tuner up here. Thank god for forum friends that know their shit. lol

Nice, and I'm gessing you had the R1 Concept disk brakes before, did they improve braking over the stock disk even a little, I'm thinking of ordering a set.
