Scrunchy brakes?


i have a 2000 and it seems like when i push the brakes it like a kinda scrunchy noise when im not in gear and push hard its really loud sounds like its under the dash any suggestions?

You mean with the car sitting still, and just from pushing the brake pedal?

Have you tried sticking your head under there, and working the pedal with your hand to see if you can get a better idea? Almost sounds like something is loose and hanging down, and interfering with the pedal hardware.

It is possible the pivot point on the linkage is binding. You certain the noise is coming from inside?
