Best Brakes For Cheap?

The cheapest i saw were the cobra or (mach 1 or bullitt ones), not sure which they came on, but anyway for around $400 USD + shipping, american muscle went up to like 6 something which is stupid, so where else is there to get them from?

Just go with the front. I put the front Bullitt kit ( red calipers,13" severe duty rotors and hoses)on my car and can tell a big diff. the .5 in the rear wouldn't be noticeable so I left them stock and painted them red to match.
$400.00 at Mustangs Unlimited.

buyfordracing.com has the mach 1 front upgrade kit for 349. It includes brembo 13" rotors, new 4 piston calipers, mounting brackets, pads, and stainless steel front brake lines.

The rear rotors on cobras aren't just larger, they are also vented, as opposed to the stock solid rear. Better if your going to be doing any repeated hard braking since they will cool faster.

for a DD/street machine, would a blank rotor be better? or slotted/crossdrilled?

Those are stock Mach 1/Cobra/Bullitt brakes and the calipers are 2 piston, just FYI.

The stock brakes on the Cobras are 13" rotors in front and 11.65" in the rear and the rears are indeed vented.
