Dont know much about Fox bodies, but I would have to guess a late model Cobra or GT with a 5 lug setup would have the better brakes.

The 93 Cobra had the best brakes. 13" front and 11.65" rear. For 4 lug, and late model V8. They came stock with 11" front rotors. All 87-93 (except Cobra) came with crappy drums in the back.

Best stock 4 lug brake setup would have to be the '93 Cobra brakes. The brakes of the '95 Cobra R are far better, should you consider a 5-lug upgrade.

Thanks for the input
I appreciate the input folks. But I have a feeling that a 93 Cobra will be a BIT hard to come by and if I did, don't think I want to rip it apart as a parts car for a 86 convertible!!
I will tell you, I figure anything has to have better brakes than the 86 6 banger does.

What would it take to get a 94-04 system transplanted onto an old fox body? I have to think that it is not just a bolt in swap (although it could be). Is there anything out there that would give some guidelines.
Thanks a million!

You could just get some 17" wheels and run 13" rotors w/ cobra/bullitt brakes...They're cheap compared to most aftermarket systems and they're a major improvement
