Brakes Clunk On My G20

my brakes are really nice, which is why i get to pull some of the shit i do in my car cause its just plain fun being able to stop on a dime =] but every once in a while, if i hit them hard, they clunk and i slide about a foot. any reason for this or is it just my P.O.S?

I wouldn't exactly call a G20 a POS. When's the last time you did your brakes? I'm not worried so much about the pads as I am the tension clips. They're probably enough to hold your calipers in place during normal braking, but hard braking might be enough to bang your calipers against the forward mount upon initial braking, especially if those clips are weak. Conversely, it might be the clips binding upon compression, and then suddenly expanding, banging the caliper against the rear mount at the end of your braking.

normally i'd say a G20 is a halfway decent car. but mine truly is a P.O.S. at almost every stop light i hit, when i brake, my stereo goes out. u cant hear anything. then a second after i hit the gas, it will go back on. and to top it off, u dont need to turn my air on to have it blowing hahaa. all i have to do for air, is close my windows, flip the switch to either heat or a/c and it blows that. it helps in the morning when im cold, i just go on the freeway and flick the switch to heat. warms me up in no time =]
