This doesnt look that hard. It also doesnt look like I need anyone else around to help do it (not a two man job).
I remember my older brother helping change the pads in my car years ago. I remember him telling me "we have to bleed them" and having me sit in the car and depress the brake pedal while he was doing something up front. From what I can read here, we dont need to "bleed" anything right?

no you shouldn't have to. just don't let the caliper hang tie it to something just to secure it.
you will have to bleed if you break the brake line
