FS: Maximum Motorsports coilovers for Bilstein Shocks

Hi everyone, I have a Maximum Motorsports coilover kit for the front.(for Bilstein shocks 79-04 mustang). The spring rate is 350. This was on the car for 5 days about 30 miles I have decided that I dont need this for a daily driver car especially in NYC. The kit comes with everything including the springs and the adjuster rench. I paid $360 for this kit. I am asking for $300 plus shipping. Or you can pick them up In NYC area. My e-mail is Nerrmin1@hotmail.com. Thank you for looking

What exactly do these do for the car? Why did you decide to take them off? I may be interested, would I need to do anything for the rear to compensate? Do they drop the car any?

Sorry if ?'s are dumb, i'm not very knowledgeable on suspension.

Im not a suspension expert but I will try to explain. With coilovers you can adjust you ride hight... from normal ride hight to very low ride hight. it also relocates the springs to your strut tower instead of the K- member.

I took them off because I really dont need this set up and cant lower the car how much I want to due to the fact of living in NYC, and I dont feel like leaving my oil pan in some pot hole. I have a set of lowering springs.

As for the rear you could get a set of adjustable lower control arms and could lower you rear in that way unless you dont mind having your rear higher then the front... You would also need a 4 Bolt camber plate to support the extra stress on the strut towers.

I hope This helps.. If any ones wants to add info please do soo. Thank you

By moving the spring from the A arm where it is from the factory to around the Strut, you are effectively doubling the effect of the spring on the wheel and body. So by doubling the effect of the spring, you are effectively making the spring rate, the wheel rate (how fast your wheels can react to the road and turns). But at the same time, since you are moving it, you are only getting the effect of the spring on the body of the car. So rather than an 800lb/in spring on the car, it is a 300lb spring, so the ride will be almost 1/3 as rough. Twice the handling, a third the roughness.
