am i the only one here that does anything anymore? when i first registered there were a couple people that atleast did some stuff... isnt there atleast a mod or someone around here, besides the occasional one's that pop in for a request or somethin?

i didnt take any courses, its really not that hard. you just gotta understand the concepts of the program(s) and have some kind of a creative mind.

i had no idea how to use photoshop 3 years ago, my suggestion if you wanna learn, is download Photofiltre. its a freeware version of photoshop with less features. thats what i learned on, that way you dont have to get into all the fancy layers, you can focus more on the tools.

there's only 2 main difference between the two programs (photofiltre and photoshop -- besides a couple hundred dollars). the biggest difference is layering. in photofiltre you have to do everything on one layer, like MS Paint, but photoshop allows you to add transparent layers, so you can move things around as much as you want... unlike photofiltre where ones you paste something, its permanently stuck there.

the other difference, is the filters. in photoshop you can add a lot of different effects to stuff, where as in photofiltre you cant do much of any of that.

I'm gonna give it a shot... I'm trying to learn computer graphics as well as decoding for some upcoming classes at Comm. College. BTW I do speak french, don't ask why, lets just say in high school all the girls were taking it, you get the idea. Tu ne parle pas francais?? Vraillement?? Ignore that

I'm on so many freakin' boards now that's it's hard to find time to do much here at MM any more.

I do alot of work for IGN and that site is so freaking big they've ALWAYS got something for me to do, I'm starting to get burnt out on Photoshop.

Id help if Adobe didnt want me to pay so much for photoshop, I know how to use photoshop, I enjoy using it, and everything, but they ask too much from my wallet.

ok I need a quick lesson on photoshop. lol I havent used it since 6th grade plus i didnt pay attion that well. lol i thought the lasso was supposed to just grab the image you where lassoing..lol wich tool does that?lol
