Photoshop Help

Alright I was trying to make my own sig but I can't really figure out how to work it. I downloaded GIMP but I just can't get it to do what I would like. Any tips, hints, or tricks anyone might know to help me out?

I don't know anything about Gimp but give me a couple days and I can make you something really nice with those shots.

Tell me what you think of this. I'm trying to make them different every time but I like this style so I am trying to come up with variations of it using color and different effects I can come up with. Do you see the reflection I am going for in the backdrop? Let me know what you think.

dude, these new sigs you've been making are absolutely awesome, I like all the different backgrounds.

hopefully I can get some more free time soon, cause I want to try out some styles like that... (I haven't even had time to make one for myself

Thanks man. I know what you mean. I need to make myself a new one. I saw one when I was doing a google search on exhausts that gave me a lot of ideas and these are the result.

My computer is actin funny, it won't finish loading, it says 30 items remaining, it won't get past that is there somthin else I can do?
