does anyone know how to make the picture where you can see the hood, but it is faded and you can see the engine under it? If you know how to do this please let me know.

Layer, then use the eraser, merge visible layers, save.

If you already have the two pics (one with hood open, one with hood shut) just drag the hood shut pic onto the hood open pic. You should then have two layers, the bottom layer should be the hood open, and the top layer should be the hood open.

The easiest way to do it in my opinion is to create a layer mask (look at the bottom of you layers pallete-you should see an icon that is a square with a circle in it) on the top layer. Take your paint brush tool (with the layer mask active) and lower your brush opacity (just try different opacity percentages until you get the dessired 'ghostiness') and just paint over the hood.

A second option is too draw a marque around the hood and then just lower the opacity of that letter. The opacity will be at the top of the layer pallet.

even easier...take the your engine pic as the main pic, take another pic exactly the same with the hood down, cut out your hood (erase everything but hood) slap that ontop and use the opacity (transparency) and put it at like 40-60%.
