*URGENT*hood paint ideas

To whom it may concern:

I have to get my hood and front bumper repainted, and I was looking into doing something a little diff than the normal 2 stripe package. The car is in the shop now, and is to be done by Friday possibly, any help would be appreciated..

I was thinking (1) 10-12 in. middle black stripe with 2 outer dark grey (alloy) 3 in. stripes meeting up with the fogs, or something wrote, like GRABBER GT or Mustang instead of the outer stripes. Or maybe a black out hood, but i'm not to sure about that.

Any other ideas?

Were you going to pant the entire hood, I would do it black....flat black, I dunno...

For stripes, IMHO if they aren't going to go over the entire car, they won't look right just on the hood.....but I'm not the greatest at conceptualizing these things.

If you were to do whatever with the hood, then the AM smoked headlight housings Here!, black turn signal housings, Here!, and a CDC chin spoiler, Here!, left black, would look great.

imho.

The flat black would look great with the chin spoiler and smoked lights. That chop looks real lol.

ok 98, i stole your idea

but i also blacked the door handle and spoiler

i actually really wanted to make the little pony and letters on the hood scoop the same orange as the body but the image is too low quality to cut them out and change their color

i think it would look awesome on the black hood tho

Glad I'm not the only one that thought this. Totally looks like you needed a replacement hood and just threw a black one on there. I'd either leave it orange, or paint the entire top half of the car black to match. Just the hood/handles/wing looks out of place I think. Like you tried to piece it together.

+1 I know you want to do something to make it yours and you have to make a decision like NOW. I see a lot of show cars too and I'm thinking the above is not a good look. You want something that says..." OMG look at that Mustang!" and IMO that's not it. The two tone look would be.

Stripes? 10-12" 2 inches apart and a very thin chaser stripe all in glossy Black, to the end of bumpers. I know, I know it's what everyone has, but it's still a good look.

My advice is if you cannot decide now, then leave it be and do it up later. yes more $$ BUT take your time. You don't want to make a hasty decision trying to save some money.

Definitely not my idea guys so I take no offense. I was just doing what I was asked. I am a clean one-tone guy. That being said here are some better selections.

I like this a lot.

This is probably cheap, but I don't like it.

This is awsome.

Total two-tone.

The Boss.

Not my favorite.

thx for the input, everyone..I thought it looked weird at first also, but the more ya look at it, it grows on ya...I realize it may look like I just replaced the hood, but I'll take a good look at her when I get her home and go from there. You know we are never really done modding our babies anyway..

Awesome grabber gt, MSO...I was thinking more on the outer edges of the hood''

It is getting painted like this, so I will have to see how I like it....If I decide I dont like it, I may finish it out, to the 2 tone, I like that alot also..
