Not me, and not a Stang, but my hubby raced a dirt track late model for 4 years. I was the pit crew - it was a freakin' blast.

Couple of pics attached...

You can find some really good photos of the 2006 Gold Cup here http://www.taggz.com/goldcup2006/index.html

This is at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton. They also have an IHRA sanctioned drag strip.

It was THE big race for the Sprintcars but the Late Models ran as well.

ran a dirt track car for a guy for 2 years until he moved away. It was fun, but nothing to the urge to be on the nascar circuit

I ran a dirt tracker that belonged to a friend of mine a handfull of times. It was a real blast and I had much fun but there are too many rules in Dirt tracking for me. I like being able to take a car and totaly tweak it how I want to and see how it works. Plus, dirt tracking is a bit harder on the cars. It seemed like we worked on the car all week to run about 30 laps on a 1/4 mile oval only to have to spend another week fixing adjusting and straightening it all back out.

I've been racing asphalt circles for 2 seasons now in the stock class (Bombers, Factory) I've had more fun trying to wheel these things around the track than late models and modified. Yeah I know not as fast but Trying to make this thing turn With 20-25 other guys raming everything in there way is . THis year I building up a 67' to wheel around the track "check out NEED HELP SETTING UP 67 Mustang".

I raced 4 Cyl mustangs on dirt for 5 years. Selling it was one of the worst decisions i made.
