Road courses and dirt tracks all the way. I grew up in a farming community and spent 3/4 of my driving on dirt roads so Dirt Road Courses are just like home to me.

I use to race in circles. I got sick of fixing body panels and tie rods and ball joints, and got sick of the politics. I got tore down every time I thought of winning.

I was running a truck for 2 years against cars(mini stock). I started to get competive, placing in the top 5. I took a few heats. Just so happens that the local chassis builder did'ent build trucks, and was in good with the track owner. Boom!!! Wheelbase restriction. The trucks were outlawed. I sold the truck, got back into drag racing, and never looked back.

Not realy. It just made me focus on drag racing.
I know a couple a guys that run @ the Glenn. (about 4 hrs+ away from me) One guy runs with a 65, and the other with a 88 Mustang. They do complain that they have to replace all the tires and brake pads every weekend that they go. But they seem to love it.

yeah there is one place in Charlotte that does it but it is rarely open to the public and there inspection is terrible. To get into the comps. you have to prove you can do the course safely which I passed but they hold even so often it messes with school to much. And I don't have the money for tires lol.

The track racing industry is self destructive. There just slowly killing themselves off by doing all the shit there doing, less people will want to go and thus not getting the income from participants and less participants also means less spectators thus cutting the amount of income they get from spectators, and what happens when your not getting jack shit for income hmmmm.....? Well here's a few things that could happen repo, forclosure, bankrupcy, and all that other good shit. So for any of you who work at a track get your shit together free up on all your restrictions and other crap (you can be safe and fun at the same time) and allow people to come and enjoy them selves at your track.

He wouldn't let me race at 17 because I was "too young" and the other guys would be way out of my league.

I should show him this thing I learned in school, it's called art, my technique involves a baseball bat and spraypaint.

I guessed so I was going for the dramatic effect thing with that post. I did find your post amusing though. But on a serious not beware the "Reasons why I hate Chevy" forum the hate on it can intoxicate you and make you want to kill the next person you see for unknown reasons. Thats why I'm writing this from the state penetentiary (jail).

theres no tracks around here and the buy in at laguna seca is like 400 bucks otherwise i think roadracing would be a 100 times more fun than draging, but its to expensive

Vir is 4.5 hrs away and Robling Roads is 6hrs. Watkins Glen is 10hrs.
They are all cheaper than that. I don't push the equipment real hard to parts are cheap. I am a teacher and my summer school checks pay for the racing season
