engine casting number freak-out... help me.
i got the code d9ae
off the bottom of the block, indicating it was a 1970's decade model (from the character "d"), year 9 within the decade (so, 1979), a is the car line, which is galaxie (as indicated by the character "a"), and e is the department the part came from (engines department in this case.) i looked this up on different charts and it matches all of them. wtf. there is no such car as a 1979 ford galaxie. they stopped making them in 74. wat is going on with this 351w block??!?!?!?

"A" was also used for "Full Size Ford"
