428 SCJ help

OK me and my dad are rebuild well our 70 mach 1.
We are throwing in a 351c for now 583hp LOL

But we bought a 428 SCJ out of some mercury. It was an amazing find
now we researched the car and the motor the mercury came with was the 428SCJ. The block how ever is a 352 bored out to be the 428. Now from some ford fans around me said that the 352 was used for the 428.

My dad is tryin to make this car as orginal as possible. Now how woukd we go proving that this block was done this from the factory and not aftermarket

Thanks Kyle

Sorry for the long explination.

most of the 352 390 and 428 was 352 on the block.

FYI,

if you are going to try to stick that in your mach 1 you might think about finding some braced shock towers. The SCJ's were different from the 351's in several ways. another way that might be of interest to you depending on your transmission is that the 4 speeds have transversed rear shocks. I don't think that is the right term, but you might look at some of the 428 websites.

if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a pm, i am 10 years into a restoration of a R-code 70 Mach 1.
