428 SCJ Balancer Counter Weight is Stuck
I am trying to remove a balancer counter weight from my '69 Mach 1 SCJ. The balancer pulled with ease, but I can not get the counter weight off. A key (or half the original key) is still in the slot under the counter weight. Would that keep it from coming? I have put a gear puller on it, heated it, and even tried an air hammer, but it will not come.
Any suggestions? |

the only parts i know of on 428 crank is the damper and the sleeve.what are you having trouble with?

All 428 SCJ's (super cobra jets) came with beefed up connecting rods, a different crankshaft, and a larger harmonic balancer that had a counter weight in place of the standard sleeve.
