Valued opinions please. I have a 68 coupe and am doing a cal special clone restomod. Have a spare 302 I could build or I could build up the original 289. My question is should I build the 302 and keep the stock original 289 and all the extra body parts in case I sold the car at some point or build the 289 and sell everything to recoup some expense. I will have a hood w/ turn signals, grill, trunk lid, end caps, original bucket seats and original wheels w/ gt hubcaps. All in great shape.

I would keep the original stuff and then mod the 302 and mod exterior.

thanks for the input. noticed your 17. was the stang your first car? do yourself a favor and hang onto it. to many people sell them off when there thru playing. they dont lose value and bet your 16 year old son would love it for his first car.

Yes it is my first car. Bought it about 3 months after turning 15. We have thought about selling it so I could get a reliable car. This one breaks down whenever it wants and I don't really like that. But it is still with me after all of those breakdowns.

know what you mean. my first car was a 56 chevy 2 door hardtop. had to sell it to pay rent when I left home. wish I still had it but that is what got me started on old cars. hope I dont have to sell anymore unless its to upgrade.
