i think the rating of the motor the way it sits right now, i may be pulling 170 at the wheels, maybe. so if i put these heads on, what kind of gain? 30hp, 40hp?

If you put these heads on it, It will raise the rpm to 2500-7500.

and if you do not work the cam and the compression it will be a daily driver pig.

From what we have learned the 2v heads with 10:1.1 with a 290/290 540lift 106LC with a aftermarket 4v for 2v heads intake with a 750 holley mechanical secondarys, with a set of headers works better as a daily driver. has more torque at lower rpms.

Just working on the heads is not going to fix the motor, You have to have a total plan to make a good motor work.

I think if your going to get were you want to be you have to do a total rebuild, or you have a pig still with 4v heads.
