66 Door Repair

The bushing for the door release rod in my 66 broke as a result of age and wear, I have given it at least 10 good tries to get the new one in, but have had no success. Has anyone had this problem before, and if so do you have any suggestions for me?

Welcome to MM Forums

The easy way is to take the fender off and close the door.

The other way is with the door open, using a floor jack to saport the door.
bolt to the door post then the door.
