power steering in a 72


since the 72 im looking at has no power steering i was checking out thisVariable Pressure Pump, but what else will be needed.

That is true.

But if I was going to add power steering to a 72

I would go to the local napa and get a
72 Powersteering pump $79
72 powersteering box $195
72 pressure and return hose $80 for both
then get a pump braket for the motor you have.

You also need a two or three groove crank pulley and a two groove water pump pulley. The early crank pulley's have three bolt holes, the 72 will have a four bolt pulley. I believe they changed from 3 to 4 bolts in mid 1969. Of course there are plenty of 3 hole pulleys available, but the 4 hole units are much harder to find. There is also an in-line fluid cooler as well.
