Welcome to MM Forums,
The question is a good one. It depends on you, how mechanical you are. EFI is always the way to go, but if you dont know how to set it up then the carb is the easiest way to go. EFI swap all you need is the wiring and controller 'CPU' Painless has this and ford racing has it also. Carb set up you need intake, carb & MSD for dist. Good Luck |

i have friends that can help with the swap problem is some say carb some efi
i would rather have efi but have heard about a lot of problems getting everything right and i do not want to do something that going to cause prolonged problems i would rather do it right the first time that is the reason i am looking at the pros and cons each way thanks Jim |

EFI, you have to make sure all the sensors are good.
Most people dont worry about them and cry when it doesnt work. Just think the CPU can only set the setting to what the sensor are telling it. Painless wiring |

Make sure you get the wiring harness from the EFI engine and all the sensors like MustangOne said. Very frustating to try and chase all the problems otherwise. There are several other forums that have a writeup on swapping just search the internet.
