67 Stang Coupe Tire And Wheels

HELP! Thats the first thought that comes to mind when I start to think of fitting wheels and tires that I bought offline, getting them to the garage and hoping they fit. I know that I like the American Racing Shelby Wheels

Torque Thrust

Part # AR-605MS-7865C

On this site...

They look sweet, I want at least 17-18' wheels

Also I want some major meats on the back like 315-335 like the Toyo R888...

Probably the 275s up front, but same tread pattern as back,

How do i find a good fitment guide and know that i order the right stuff.

I want to order good wheels that will last me a while and will keep their chrome finish.... GdyUp

315-335 is used for rims with a 10.5 width if not more. Recommended tire for 17x8s is 245/45R17.

They are great looking rims. I think they'd look better as 15'' with big ol' meaty radials but its your car and you who decides. Go for it.

Welcome to MM Forums

The wheels look great, Make sure when ordering that the back spacing is not more than 5.5"

Thanks everyone for responding so quickly... Ok so if 315-335 tires are used with 10.5 wide wheels, then what wheels would be good.... Yeah the size of the wheels dont really matter to me. I just want big meats... any suggestions of combos of some nice lookin wheels with huge ASS tires? lol Thanks

Ok now that I though more about it, i really dont care about the wheels. As long as they arent completely ugly, I just want 315-335 back tires and should i go 275s up front? Also what kind of tires should I get? I have been lookin at Toyo Tires R888, but I dont know, what do you all recommend. If you all could recommend a rear 315-335 tire and wheel choice, and a front tire and wheel choice... that would be great, thanks

Hunter

I believe you're going to have rubbing issues when you turn if you have 275s up front.

Hey Hunter,

That is a good looking tire.

But have you look at the size of the tire you are talking about?
You might want to take a tape and mesure how much room you have.
You do want to drive this car Right?

I would go with the 275/40/17 Rears and the 245/45/17 Fronts

That is what we are using here...

Thanks everyone... I ended up ordering the Rocket Booster Chrome Wheels. 18x9 Rear 17x8 Front Will there be issues in the back with a 9 inch wide wheel?
the people at nostalgia wheel called and said it is going to be a tight fit. The rear wheels have a Backspacing of 5.25... Please help me out... they are suspending my order until i figure if they will fit or not... im gonna walk out in the garage now and measure my axle and wheelwell... but my axle is out of the car atm... thanks guys
