69 w/429 CJS coupe

I have a 1969 with a 429 CJS coupe that i had the fortune of getting my hands onto only problem is it needs a fuel pump the gas tank cleaned out because I am pretty sure that it is all jellied up. And the Carb more then likely needs some attention because it has been sitting for the last 8 years. The Carb is a motorcraft I am pretty sure it is original but not positive. Does anyone have some information or knowledge that can help me do this I also would like To know what I need to parts wise to get this done. Thanks

The fuel pump should be a manual pump located on the lower left side of the motor. It should just be a line and two small bolts holding it in. I would suggest removing it and taking it with you to the parts store to compare to what they get you. You can pull the gas tank and most radiator shops can boil it out and remove any rust for a small fee. I had it done to an old truck I had ( actually,my first car) that had been sitting with no gas in the tank for 4 years.

I actually passed that old truck yesterday, I wish it was still mine.......
