Z bar adjustment

Should the Z bar be tight between the block and frame rail, or should there be some play in it? When I installed mine, it put the bolts for the adjustment rod against the header, and I can't even press the pedal in, and it seems if I make it more loose, it will move it towards the frame rail a little, and clear the header. If it's like that, it seems like it will move around, and rub the header again though. M1, you have any tips on getting the setup right? anybody else?

When I took it out, I left the adjustment rod attached to the Z bar, so I didn't really change anything, and it seems like it should have gone right back in, but I was wrong.

ok

Now I just have to figure out why it's rubbing the header now, but wasn't before.

Nope. I didn't even take the engine mounts off the block, and I didn't remove the tranny.

I got it figured out. I had it way too tight between the block and frame rail. The thing is a PITA to adjust, but with 2 extensions, and 2 wobble joints, you can do it without removing the header
