Howdy boys!

Didn't do a lot on it this summer, I did take it apart though. Being here in dry Nevada I still can't believe how good shape this sheetmetal is in and after dismantling it still no body work except the one little ding. I bought a nice little pressurized 90 lb. capacity sand blaster and through the winter will get everything blasted and a light coat of primer.

here's some updated pics. will see Y'all when the next update is ready.

Be well fellow enthusiest....

Ron

Howdy Gals and Gays.

Well that perfect body has a problem, No Title! And the Kid I got it from won't sign a release form for the title... I even offered him more money to buy his Drugs but he's being a jerk.

Here in Nevada they will not issue a Title to an abandoned vehicle!

I have been checking every way there is for obtaining a Title and so far there's just no way for a Private individual.

So Looking through the local Craigslist I found a 65 coupe with some goodies already done to it. The Gentleman that has it is bored and worn out on the Resto and I bought the car for $500.00. I haven't seen it yet it's a little ride to go to it's location and I'll do that next week. He claims it came from the Vegas area and has very minimal rust. ( I sure hope so)

A friend of mine has a 5.0 with some warm up goodies, there again don't know what they are.
He lives 150 miles South of me in the San Francisco area and I will pick the engine, tranny and headers up when we can get together and he'll give me the build sheet at that time.

Besides that, I have been reading some of Y'all's projects and updates but didn't have any progress to share so just sitting on the Bunker looking out and reading..

Ron

Welcome to MM!!
I know i'm a little late but I have ordered from NPD and never had a problem and thought their stuff was decent/good quality. Got a pair of reproduction fenders and the gaps by doors were a little different but other than that they fit great (they only people that would notice would be me and prob half of you stang nuts anyway). Just thought I would share it because their prices and shipping are pretty good.

The state of Alabama does not issue titles for cars before 1975, all you need to title a car in Alabama is a bill of sell. There are several companies in the state that specialize in helping people get titles for older cars. I would look into some of them before I bought another vehicle, since yours is in such good shape. Here is a link to one company that I have heard some good things about. Never used them myself though.

I sure wish Nevada was as easy as Alabama.. or as easy as a couple of other States here in the West also.
I found a gal in California that helps people throughout the U.S. get their Title problems cured. She wants close to $300.00 I figure I can get a no problem Title, some extra parts to use or sell, a new windshield and rear window, along with a 1.5 inch suspension drop kit for $200.00.. I'm looking at it as a no problem (Title wise) in the future way to get back on this thing.
But thanks for the Link.

I'll try to remember pics as the work gets going.

so you still have the frst car, but just no title, why wouldn't he sign the release if he already sold you the car?

Another thought: Use whichever car is in better shape. The VIN is not in the dash, it is only stamped in the metal under the fender, cut out the VIN you have a title for and title the car with it. I think that would be okay, you own both cars.
