How to check lift on cam?
Hi All,
I have a 65 coupe with a 289. The previous owner set it up for street performance, shift kit ect. I suspect it has a performance cam. I was thinking of using a dial indicator on the rocker arm, push rod side, to measure the lift and thus determine what sort of cam I have. I this a waste of time? Thanks, Allen |

You can do that to check the lift but that is about it.

Thanks for the reply.
Just lift is OK. I just want to know if it is mild or wild. Going back to stock anyway, I just want to plan my expenses ect. |
