66 Suspension Upgrade

I want to start this thread out by saying thanks to everybody on the forums for helping me out with all of my sometimes newbish question.

Now for the next one.

I have my 200 I6 and was looking into upgrading the suspension most notably to 5 lug axles and a bigger read end. What would you guys recommend?

And as a side note does anybody know of any good junk yards or places like that in the DFW/ North Texas area?

This is what we are using in everything now, It comes with everything you want.

Power rack
Disc brakes
use any motor
Adj coil over setup

And fixes the front end drives like a new Mustang.
all for less than $2500

I've heard that the rear ends out of the 95-99 ford explorer (4x4) will work for the mustangs. I don't know how true this is but they come with 5 lug and rear disc. I have been looking around to see if I can't find one to measure because if it will fit, it's a very possible option for me. Only catch is all the yards around here don't seem to have any with a rear end still under them.

9" Rear end is an option many people go with due to their durability. That and how cool is it when you can say your rearend is 'unbreakable'.

Yet the 9" consumes the most power compared to the 8" and 8.8

People on another forum were saying the 9in will put out less to the rear wheels than the same exact car with an 8" or 8.8

That might be because they weren't running comparable gears. And the parts in a 9" maybe larger and heavier thus having more rotational mass but that shouldn't slow you down much if at all. And if it DID slow you down then it would only be during moments of acceleration (hard acceleration would be when it's most noticable) but from there momentum would take over and it wouldn't be a problem, IF it does at all.
