original 10 spoke wheels
I just bought a 66 fastback and it came with original 14 inch ten spoke Shelby wheels that came strait out of the box and where mounted on the car at around 1993.
However, since the car never had an engine mounted in it, the car was never driven with the wheels on. The tires still have the little rubber "nubs" on them that would wear off in the first couple of miles! The wheels are in pristine condition, due to the fact that the car has never left its air conditioned concrete shop since the original owner bought it. The question is, what would be the going rate for a the set? Of course there are plenty of reproduction 10 spokes out on the market, but how much would a truly original set without so much as a scratch, wear, or blemish be worth? |

Welcome to MM Forums...
I thing I would do is Clean them up nice... Take good photos of them. Start them on eBay for $125 plus $45 shipping and see were it goes. |

I think we are are talking about two different sets of wheels here. Reproductions might be worth that, but I know that these would be worth far more due to being so rare.

No, I do understand. That price is just to get it started. people that are looking for real wheels are on eBay also.
Your only other option is to come to Tulsa in June and buy Spaces at the Mid America Shelby show to sell them. Witch I dont think your going to do. Like I said, Clean them up take good Photos of them but the on eBay. Start it low price so your insertion fee is low and people will bid. That way you can catch the eyes of all the shelby owners that are looking for your wheels. In my experience with eBay Good Stuff NEVER goes cheap. If you like you can alway add a reserve. I sell alot of stuff on ebay. If you set them on there for $1800 witch that is at the low side of what there worth, you will never get a bid. |
