8 inch rear end
I am looking for some good advise on a 5 lug conversion from 4 lug. I know this question has been asked before, so besides going to a junk yard to find a 9 inch rear or buying a new rear end, what are my options? I have a 65 mustang 4 lug, I dont necessarily want to change rear ends, just want some nice 5 lug wheels. I am putting discs on the front. Thank you. Also, I dont want those spacer conversion kits, I heard they were not safe.

75-80 Granada and Monarch rear ends swap, they will be 5 lug 8" some will be 9". It will bolt into your car. They are 58" wide overall. Your rear end is 57.5 wide. While you're at it, take the front spindles and you will have 5 lug front suspension with disc brakes. Its called the Granada swap.
This is just a suggestion, it'll get you where you want for cheap.
