67 Mustang VIN?

Im rebuilding a 67 Mustang Coupe, I have it all broken down to the shell, put in new floor pans, new cowl, eliminated all rust. Its out getting painted now and then im going to build it back up. It just hit me. My car doesnt have a VIN plate up on the dash. Does the code plate in the door and under the hood suffice? What have you guys done for your older cars? Thanks guys

1967 does not have a vin on the dash, 1968 was the first year they started putting it on the dash also.

Use the door tag number if it is oiginal. It should work.
