what should I do (67 coupe)
I have recently purchased a 67 mustang coupe rust free all origonal paint engine interior and erything was pretty much left stock except for a tape player now sits where the original radio should be... the car has the deluxe black interior (5A) with the black comfort weave the interior is almost perfect exept for a small tear on the seam of the drivers seat but my main concern is the brushed aluminum or stainless steal dash (cannot remeber which) but it looks a litle ruogh no dents or anything but I was wondering what is the best way to bring that back to original shine(im sorry for the long post) the original mileage is just under 60 000 and under the hood looks brand new it has the stock duel exhaust I was hoping to decide what to do with this car by some opinions on this forum should I put a bigger than stock exhaust on it with mabey the possobilities of headers? or put this car to perfectly stock? I was thinking on going the route of a little bit restomod maybe so tourqe thrusts or crager rims and convert to front discs. It also has a vinyl top should that stay or go?
becasue one things forsure it needs to be replaced thank you

Hay, thats the beauty of a Mustang. There are ample parts and aftermarket mods that you can buy. It all depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go (and of course how deep your pockets are). For the dash all I did was take a 3M polishing pad to it. Then I took some mothers wheel polish to it. It really depends on how bad yours is, mine was pritty bad. I definately would go with the frond disks. Nothing sucks more than glazing the shoes and not being able to stop.

I personally never put on a vinyl top, or even seen one put on. So I would hate to steer you wrong on that deal.

When I got out of high school I worked at an auto upholstery shop.
I had to scrape off the old vinyl tops. They are put on with contact cement so it all has to be scraped off with a razor blade and use solvent to get the old glue off. It is a lot of work but you could do it in 4-5 hours. Mabey a local shop would cut you a deal if you remove the old top and they just put on a new one. Putting it back on does take practice.
