My Cars-68GT500E, 70 Mach1

Been a long time since I have been to this site. I thought I would repost my Cars here.

My 1968 GT500E. This car was finished about 18months ago and is a 18year long project.
Both cars run GT40's stroked to 347

1968 is setup as follows:

Drivetrain:
Ford Motorsports GT40 crate motor
MSD billet Distributor with a 6a controller
Ford Motorsports Aluminum intake
Daemon 650cfm Double pumper with electric choke
March Serpentine pulley system under drive
140amp single wire alternator
Optima yellow top battery
Transmission is a 5speed stick from FMS
Stock Steel driveshaft trued and rebalanced
Differential is a Ford 9” with a 3:50 posi
Exhaust 2 ½ inch custom made going through the rocker panel

Suspension:
Front:
Hedit’s Hot Rod Shop
Rack and Pinion (power)
Tubular A-Arms, bottom are Stainless
Coilover front shocks from Strange Eng. 12 way adjustable
Sway bar
Front Disc breaks
Rear:
Stock Mustang GT leaf springs with all new springs and bushings
1” lowered
Sway bar
Rear Disc Breaks
Sub-Frame connectors from Global West were used to help stiffen the already perfect unibody.

Interior:
JME Brushed aluminum Cluster using phantom white faced gauges with striking cobra emblem
Pillar Pods for Voltage and Clock
Stock Mustang Brush Aluminum console
Door panels utilize Stock plus brushed aluminum inserts with striking cobra emblem
Seats are done with TMI’s new sport foam and utilize a Black on Black PONY interior.
The top is done in Black Cordura similar to the late model Mercedes Benz and BMW’s
The pedals are done in brushed aluminum as well.

Body:
Color 2005 Mustang Redfire with custom Orange/Bronze Lemans stripes accented with a small silver pinstripe.
Paint is modern 3-stage
The body started out life as a very straight California Mustang Convertible.
The body kit we utilized was a Mayer racing “E-Kit”
The Hood is the 67 “Shelby-like” hood (I can’t stand the E-Hood)
The Turn signals are Sequential LED’s over 280LED’s per side
The Fog lights work and are correct.
Hood Hinges are Ring Brothers Billet Alum with gas shocks set for fiberglass hood (quite expensive).
All the fender flairs and body mods were worked into the car as permanent mods there are no seams.
We kept all the stock steel we could include the trunk lid which just has the spoiler molded into it.

The Mach 1 took me just over two years and I enjoy both.

Drivetrain:
Ford Motorsports GT40 crate motor
MSD billet Distributor with a 6a controller
FMS Cobra FI intake
Tweecer (allows me to tune the A9L with my laptop)
March Serpentine pulley system under drive
140amp single wire alternator
Optima yellow top battery
Transmission is a custom built AOD 4speed Auto
Stock Steel driveshaft trued and rebalanced
Differential is a Ford 9” with a 3:50 posi
Exhaust 2 ½ inch custom using concourse Mach1 Tips
Gas Tank is a Rock Valley Stainless Steel custom with high flow pumps and reserve tanks inside

Suspension:
Front:
Hedit’s Hot Rod Shop
Rack and Pinion (power)
Tubular A-Arms, bottom are Stainless
Coilover front shocks from Strange Eng. 12 way adjustable
Sway bar
Front Disc breaks
Rear:
Stock Mustang GT leaf springs with all new springs and bushings
1” lowered
Sway bar
Rear Drum Breaks
Sub-Frame connectors from Global West were used to help stiffen the already perfect unibody.

Interior:
JME Brushed aluminum Cluster using phantom white faced gauges with striking cobra emblem
Pillar Pods for Voltage and Clock
JME Center Console Insert for Raido Mounting
Door panels utilize Stock plus brushed aluminum inserts
Seats are done with TMI’s new sport foam and utilize a Black on Carbon interior.

Body:
Color 2005 Mustang Ultra Blue I elected to use the 69 Stripes since I belive they go better with the original 429 boss hood I found. I also elected to use the 71gas cap since it was direct bolt in and looks better in my eyes.
Paint is modern 3-stage
The Turn signals are Sequential LED’s
The Fog lights work and are correct.

These pictures don't show the finished interior or correct wheels (out of the 100's of pictures I have I can't find the 10 or so of it done). I use the wheels shown as mock ups on my mustang projects since they have the offset I like to use when I mock up the suspension and body. I ended up using the newer AR Shelby Series on the Mach 1 for rims.

Thanks for looking at my well loved Mustangs, yes they get drivin, no its not often enough, but I make up for it by driving them like I stole them....

Edited to answer questions etc....

I'm gonna go change my pants, then I'll see if I can think up a more witty response.

Didn't like the stock Mach wheels?

But, seriously those are a nice pair of horses you keep. What drivetrain are you running in each?

Don't really like the Cobra rims on the Mach, but both cars are really nice.

Yes I have a ton of pictures of both cars, mostly the restore process and smilar pictures. I will post some more when I have figured out what drive I had them on LOL (I lost some in the Terabytes)....

Once again the wheels on the Mach 1 are what I use to MOCK UP with since they are the offset I want to use. I have misplaced some of my pictures, I am using the American Racing Shelby Series on it.

This next one shows the Dash etc.. but as you can see it has the automatic that I first built it with. When I swaped to the 5 speed this car came alive for me, the difference driving it was night and day.

I will post more of the Mach 1 as soon as I figure out where I put the pictures or I take it out again and shoot more.

I brought my nephew over to my computer to show him your cars...
Judging by the look on his face, I think his balls just dropped.
Beautiful cars.

Thanks for all the reply's and yes I don't care for the SVT rims either but give it a rest they are the rims I use when I build my mustangs, since they have the offset and size I want.

I just have some crappy pictures of the Mach 1 in my un-cleaned garage but here.

I will post more when I detail it again this next week and take some more pictures.

Oh and yes that is my 57 chevy wagon which is my daily driver.... and yes it gets wet.
