Distributors - too many choices!
OK, I'm looking to convert to a Pertronix system, but my ignorance with engines is making my life difficult. According to NPD, I can get one for single point, dual point, or dual point with vacuum advance. How can I tell which one I have? I've got an original 351W, but I could swear that it looks like a single point with vacuum advance.
Help, pictures, links? |

single with vacuum is what i was thinking, but don't be afraid to give them a call I'm sure they can tell you what you need.

It should be single point, vacuum advance. I had the Pertronix set up in my other 69 351W, and liked it because it was easy. This car has the MSD AL6, and it's awesome.

It looks like I have a stock distributor in my car now and a flame thrower coil. The car runs fine and starts right up. So, I'm hesitant to mess with the engine at all.
One day it will need a tune up because of the points, etc. It's tough deciding whether to go w/ the ready to run MSD distributor/coil or just leave it be. Do you have any thoughts? |

I like I said, I have the MSD in mine, and I love it.

That's my other car. It doesn't look so good anymore. I should have the new car on there soon.
